Five Awards –Not too Bad for a Moving Year. We see that we didn’t mention our first, second, and third awards here this year. They arrived as we were moving in July, and we just ran out of time. As a little Christmas present, we received two more awards for our East Rockhill Township website and electronic newsletters from the PSAT’s Citizen Communications Contest 2009. We just gotta crow!
East Rockhill Township’s electronic newsletter garnered first place in that category, and second place for their website. Information architecture, original design, content, and maintenance were developed by Michelle Noonan and Lindsay McKeighan.
The East Rockhill website earned a Grand Prize Award from APEX 2009 in June and Awards for the Lamb Foundation Annual Report and community involvement on planning for the Route 100 corridor were announced also this year.

K HR Solutions’ strategic new logo and website reflect the changing consulting business. The new website represents President Kim Huggins’ people-oriented nature and features business’ areas of growth (Understanding Generation, speaking engagements, and eCommerce) without minimizing her established human resources consulting services.
The website also sells a do-it-yourself workshop kit—created and designed by Word Work. Like nothing you’ve ever seen, Talking About the Generations is an affordable version of Kim’s popular generations workshop. The thought-provoking kit includes a facilitator’s guide, an engaging PowerPoint presentation (a truly unique and interactive production), and speaker’s notes—plus colorful, reproducible exercises and worksheets and an exclusive audio CD. View the kit in our portfolio, or check it out at the K HR Store.

An overwhelming flood of new customers visited QNB’s new Wescosville branch as a result of Word Work’s messages. With our help, QNB achieved a milestone in 4 weeks that took their last new branch 6 months to reach. A fold-over postcard and full-color newspaper ad announced a great CD rate for new customers and LCD HDTV drawings. A series of creative full-color billboards and digital billboards drove the success home. View our QNB Wescosville Branch Opening Campaign in our online profile.

Website visits swelled 51 percent from April through June 2008 at www.hatfieldtownship.org. Hatfield’s site had 12,949 unique visitors—an increase of 51 percent from 8,598 in the first quarter of 2008. Word Work attributes the success to effective marketing communications program that includes: Informative eNews, Frequent Updates, Useful Information, and Online Activity Registration. Next, in anticipation of changes to township polling places and a referendum on land preservation funding, we’re working together to reach more residents by eNewsletter. Residents may sign up for eNews directly on the website, call, or e-mail the township with their request.

K HR makes learning tips for working among 4 generations as easy as opening a box top. HR consultant Kim Huggins, president of K HR Solutions, speaks to business leaders and members of large corporations on various human resources topics. Her latest hot topic, Generational Differences, introduces her to hundreds of people who may need a quick reminder of what motivates the different generations. Word Work created an interactive business card that folds up like a box top and reinforces her message. Open the flaps to learn about each generation. The card also puts Kim’s contact information and website address at the center of this useful, memorable piece.
